Battle with a Double-Headed Dragon is a tuba duo with piano written in the late-romantic style, reminiscent of Wagner with its treatment and development of musical leitmotifs. It features one player's upper register, and the other's low register, both complimenting each other in exchanging and unison melodic figures.

It was written for Will Walsh and Isaac Davanzo in the fall of 2023 in anticipation of their shared time together during their masters programs at Baylor University. It was later performed in the spring of 2025 in a shared recital, featuring nearly 30 collaborators across the school of music.
