The transcendental music of Wagner's Parsifal has always captured my imagination with its beautiful harmonic motion and sense of longing for the grail. Through the prelude, Wagner depicts the approach towards transcendence, but man's fall through his wound of sin, yet beyond that, there is a glimmer of hope in redemption.
